Investigative Reporter

WIAT 42 News is searching for an Investigative Reporter who is driven to seek honest, relevant, compelling enterprise stories.    The ideal candidate will be relentless in the pursuit of the truth.  A proven track record of strong journalistic skills and supreme ethical standards is a must.  The successful applicant will understand how to generate sources and will bring lead stories to the newsroom.  Stories will require a high production value.  This position requires multitasking through multiple investigations at any given time.  Proficiency in newsroom computer systems (iNews/ ENPS) is a must.  Knowledge of Panasonic cameras and AVID editing equipment helpful.   Ability to data mine, properly fill out freedom of information acts and navigate through various government entities is a must.   Job entails moderate to high stress and deadline pressure, while keeping a strong attention to detail.  Candidates must be able to occasionally shoot and edit material.

Five years of Reporter/ Anchor experience and college degree preferred.
