BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — The Birmingham Airport Authority issued a statement on Thursday noting that certain contractors and other members of the construction team at the airport had concerns about the safety of the Multi User Flight Information Display System (MUFIDS) and the risks they posed prior to the March 22, 2013 accident.
