Alcohol plays role in accident in DeKalb County

DEKALB COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT)- The Alabama State Troopers office has released information on a fatal accident that happened early Saturday morning in DeKalb County.

68-year-old Fed Quinton Terrell of Fort Payne was travelling in his 2002 Chevrolet Malibu when the vehicle ran off the roadway and into a creek. Officials say that Terrell was not wearing a seat belt and that alcohol was a factor. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

This accident is still under investigation.
