BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — The Young People’s Division of the Women’s Missionary Society of the African Methodist Episcopal Church took a stand against violence on Saturday.
Nearly 300 people gathered for a march that began at the Sheraton Birmingham Hotel and ended at Kelly Ingram Park.
The group conducted the march to honor the four African-American girls who were killed in the bombing of the 16th Street Baptist Church in Birmingham in 1963.
