LONDON (WIAT) — Former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher passed away from a stroke on Monday, according to ex-spokesman Tim Bell.
She was 87 years old.
Thatcher’s peers lauded her as a great dignitary in the international community throughout her career. She was the first female British prime minister.
Her will and determination earned her the nickname “The Iron Lady.”
She battled dementia in her later years.
