According to Hillsborough County Investigators, numerous reports indicate that the Hakken has fled to Cuba.
On Tuesday, the couple was spotted in a Havana marina in the boat that was reported stolen last week. Cuban officials say they plan to hand over the couple to the United States.
The family disappeared last week after a confrontation with the children’s maternal grandmother, who has full permanent custody of the children.
The confrontation came after the couple lost custody of four-year-old Chase Hakken and two-year-old Chase Hakken on April 2, 2013.
Joshua and Sharyn Hakken reportedly stole the grandmother’s truck and boat as they made their escape.
The truck was found on April 4 inside a Florida parking garage.
