(WIAT) — The pollen count may appear high in Alabama in recent days, but according to Alabama health officials, the pollen isn’t much higher than the norm for early April.
That doesn’t provide much comfort for allergy sufferers, though.
Any amount of pollen can cause problems for allergy sufferers, but there are some over the counter drugs that are helpful in treating some of the most common allergy symptoms.
In addition, keeping windows closed and using air conditioners instead keeps pollen from circulating within the home.
Frequent showers are also helpful for people who spend a lot of time outdoors.
If the problems persist, consult an allergist.
