(WIAT) — Jefferson County’s lead attorney may have his fate decided on Friday.
County commissioners will address Attorney Jeff Sewell’s future on in a special meeting.
Sewell was placed on paid leave on Monday, but county officials did not offer much explanation publicly.
On Thursday morning, that trend continued.
“I’m not going to comment,” Jefferson County Commission President David Carrington said. “The job performance portion needs to be done in a public meeting.”
Sewell’s currently makes $375,000 per year for his work as Jefferson County’s lead attorney.
