Etowah County man waives preliminary hearing

(WIAT) — An Etowah County man waived his preliminary hearing on Thursday.

35-year-old Stephon Lindsay is charged with Capital Murder for the death of his 20-month-old daughter, Maliyah Lindsay.

Her body was found in a wooded area of Gadsden in March.

According to investigators, she died of blunt force trauma.

Investigators also say he used a knife or sword in the crime.
