BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) – The future of Jefferson County’s lead attorney could be decided Friday.
Commissioners will address Jeff Sewell’s future in a special called meeting. He was placed on paid leave Monday but not much explanation has been given publically. That trend continued at Thursday’s commission meeting.
“I’m not going to comment,” Jefferson County Commission President David Carrington said when asked if he would recommend to fire Sewell.
Sewell currently takes home $375,000 per year for his work with Jefferson County.
