(WIAT) — Alabama-native Linc Hand, who plays a small but pivotal role in the new film, “42”, made an appearance on Children’s Hospital of Alabama on Friday.

Hand signed souvenir baseball cards from the film.

He says although Hollywood’s flashy lifestyle is nice, coming back to Alabama and giving back to the community is what it’s all about.

“[It’s] those magical moments in life. If you get the opportunity to give back that way, there’s not enough people in the world that can stop you from doing it,” Hand said on Friday.
