Two suspects arrested in connection with Tuscaloosa shooting

(WIAT) — Two suspects in a Wednesday evening shooting in Tuscaloosa remain at large and are considered armed and dangerous on Friday.

According to investigators, 17-year-old Shelton State Community College student Matthew Callahan was meeting someone at the River Roads Condominiums when he was shot in the parking lot.

He was taken to DCH Hospital where he later died.

Authorities say Timothy “Junior” Thornton, 24, and Kiunte “Felon” Furr, 18, are suspects in the case.

Police have not yet released a motive.
