(WIAT)- The Hoover Relay for Life is less than two weeks away, and James Harwell is “strumming” up interest already! He’s a brain cancer survivor and an avid guitar player, and Sunday night he entertained dozens of friends and families at Moonlight on the Mountain to generate support for his relay team, Hope for Harwell. Making music is not just a hobby for Harwell; it’s a way for him to celebrate the biggest, and toughest, victory of his life. “I cherish playing music and spending time with friends and family at events like this a great deal more than I did before,” he said during a set break.
The Hoover Relay for Life is April 26th at Hoover High School. Ceremonies start at 6:00pm. You can click on the link below for more information.
