(WIAT)- A toy plays a merry song as it dances in front of Molly McNutt.  Her parents coo over her and tell her how pretty she looks.  It sounds like a normal childhood; however, it is anything but normal.  Molly was born with Cerebal Palsy, and cannot move on her own.  “Picking a hamburger up and eating it,  you know, Molly can’t do that,” explains her father, Brian.  “You just learn to appreciate all the little stuff.”

The little stuff can include routine trips to her older brother Eli’s baseball games, or to the grocery story for a loaf of bread.  Her mother, Janie, says that simple trip can take thirty minutes because they have to get Molly out of her car seat and into her wheel chair, and all over again once they check out.  “It would be easier for me to get her in and out if she could actually stay in her wheelchair,” she says.

That wish could come true with the click of a mouse.  National Mobility Awareness Month is offering the chance for a family with a special needs member to receive a free custom van, outfitted to meet the person’s individual needs.  The winner will be decided by an online vote.  “How could you not vote for this beautiful sweet angel?” says Janie while holding Molly in her lap.

You can vote for Molly by clicking on the link below and searching for “Molly McNutt.”  The winner will be announced on May 31st.  Voting ends on May 10th.
