(WIAT) — A Birmingham police officer who is facing arson and child pornography charges had his bail denied on Monday.
Curtis Thornton’s bail was denied because the judge presiding over the case believes he is a flight risk and a danger to the public.
Thornton is accused of setting several fires in western Birmingham and Warrior last summer.
He will to go to trial in June.
The child pornography charge has been sent to a grand jury.
