TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WIAT)– Two men wanted in connection with the murder of a Shelton State College student are now in police custody.
The U. S. Marshals Service reports that 18-year-old Kiunte Furr was arrested Sunday morning at an apartment complex in Savannah.
He is being held in the county jail pending extradition to Alabama. According to the Tuscaloosa Police Department, 24-year-old Timothy Thornton turned himself in to the sheriff’s office Sunday afternoon on a capitol murder warrant.
Both are accused of the April 9th shooting death of 17-year-old Matthew Hunter Callahan at the River Road Condos. Investigators believe it was an attempted robbery.
