According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), there are some signs that indicate you may need to take a step back and deal with your health.
The signs include feelings of tense, irritability or anxiety, frequent nightmares or sleeplessness and feeling powerless.
Doctors recommend avoiding alcohol and drugs to cut down on stress.
While alcohol and drugs make you feel good initially, they can be a dangerous crutch.
Doctors also recommend finding support, talking to a friend, counselor or clergy member, because sharing a problem lightens the load.
In addition, it’s recommended to get out and be with friends, because having fun and laughing can reduce stress.
