Ramsay’s Crews Twins Sign Baseball Scholarships

Clayton & Clinton Crews

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WIAT) –  Ramsay High School seniors and Honor students, Clayton and Clinton Crews signed their National Letters of Intent on April 17, 2013. The baseball playing brothers will both attend Tuskegee University. Both Clayton and Clinton were recruited by Claflin University, Orangeburg, S.C.; Lemoyne-Owens College, Memphis, TN; and Tuskegee University.

Clayton is a pitcher, 3rd baseman and shortstop. Clinton is a catcher. Clayton Crews is a member of the National Honor Society, Ramsay High School Marching Band, concert band, jazz band, and orchestra. He maintains a 3.87 GPA and scored a 25 on the ACT. Clayton ran track for Ramsay and ended the Indoor season 6th in the state in the 60 Meters. He also participated in the Speak First All-Star Debate Team for two years. He is a member of Christ First Missionary Baptist Church where he is involved in the Usher Ministry and the Food Bank Ministry. Clinton Crews is a member of the National Honor Society, marching band, concert band, and jazz band. He also ran track and was crowned Mr. Ramsay High School. Clinton also participated in the Speak First All-Star Debate Team. He too is a member of Christ First Missionary Baptist Church. Both Clayton and Clinton have received multiple academic scholarships and will be majoring in engineering.

The brothers told CBS42 that they gain a level of inspiration from the Upton brothers, B.J. & Justin. They currently star for the Atlanta Braves.
