So far, three deaths have been blamed on the flood waters.

Last week’s rain has rivers across the Midwest surging and spilling over their banks.

The Illinois River is continuing to rise and is threatening to wash out homes and businesses.

Up to six inches of snow is expected in South Dakota on Monday.

Forecasters say that the snow could to more flooding when it melts off and drains into nearby rivers.
