(WIAT) — Thursday was a big day of awards and excitement at the McWane Science Center.
The Celebrate Science Exhibit Design Challenge brought out some of the brightest young scientists from 17 schools in Alabama and Mississippi.
It promotes scientific learning in classrooms by challenging students to work as a team to design their own prototype exhibit for the McWane Science Center.
The first-place winner of Thursday’s awards program will have their science exhibit put on displace at the McWane Science Center for a year.
