BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — The first Tuesday of every month is a special time at Rojo in Southside area of Birmingham.

It’s when local filmmakers meet to network with other filmmakers, and discuss their current or up and coming projects.

This month’s guest, John Marc Green, along with writer Stacey Davis, discussed adapting film projects from released material including books, songs, and plays.

Green spoke about his film “Lipidleggin”, a science fiction film based on a 1978 short story, and the joys he had in making it.

“I had a great team of people who helped take the story from the printed page.” -John Marc Green, filmmaker
