(WIAT) — The Mercedes-Benz plant in Vance is undergoing a $70 million expansion project.
Mercedes officials and Alabama Governor Robert Bentley broke ground on a new logistics hub on Wednesday.
The hub will employee 600 people.
The building is slated for completion by the end of 2013.
Since coming to Alabama in 1995, Mercedes has invested $4.8 billion in the facility, including the new expansion project.
