(WIAT) – The family dog holds a special place for many of us … that’s why some owner’s say what appears to be a pattern forming of pet disappearances in some Marion and Winston county neighborhoods is a concern.
“Brinkley” and more than a half dozen other dogs have gone missing from neighborhoods in Double Springs and Winston County recently.
Owner, Paula Crumpton, found out through Facebook that she wasn’t alone.
Bassett hounds “Molly” and “Molly” in Marion County’s Whitehouse community have also vanished without a trace.
Pet owners Steve and Jeannie Dodd say they think these thefts are related.
The Marion County Sheriff’s office hasn’t received any written reports yet … however, Sheriff Kevin Williams says they will help pet owner’s investigate if they come forward.
