(WIAT) — A local hospital is opening another wing of rooms to help new mothers feel more “at home” during childbirth.
Saint Vincent’s East is opening nine new birth suites.
The suites are furnished with state-of-the-art birthing technology.
Suites will include a private room for mothers to stay with their baby throughout their time in the hospital.
The 8,000 square foot project is being built in addition to ten existing birth suites already at the facility.
The $2.8 million expansion opens on Monday.
