(WIAT) — High school students in Tuscaloosa are getting a jump on their future careers, but they will need unconventional classes and equipment.
The City of Tuscaloosa has partnered with the school system and the Tuscaloosa Center for Technology to provide three years of funding for a public safety awareness course.
On Friday, they will be getting a real fire truck.
This is the first year the Center for Technology has offered the firefighter course.
The Center is expecting over 100 students to enroll next year.
