SAN FRANCISCO, CA (WIAT) – Former Alabama & Clay-Chalkville High School defensive lineman Quinton Dial has signed a four-year deal with the San Francisco 49ers worth a reported $2,341,652. Dial was the Niners 5th round draft pick in this past April’s NFL Draft, 157th overall.

Dial starred at Clay-Chalkville High School, being named part of the Birmingham News “Super 12” Team in 2008. He originally signed with Alabama out of high school, but was academically ineligible. Dial then enrolled at East Mississippi, where he became one of the top JUCO prospects in the nation.
He was a big part of Alabama’s 3-4 system, playing defensive end. Dial kicked off his senior campaign with 3 tackles and a sack against Michigan in the Cowboys Classic in Dallas.
He’s also expected to receive a $181,652 signing bonus.
