Hoover would start the night off with a 4-0 shutout in game one.
The Huskies trailed 3-0 in game two, but in the sixth inning they began to capitalize on errors and wild pitches to snag the 5-3 win in 8 innings.
“We just continue to have hope and just that we weren’t done and come back and fight to do whatever we could to scratch out runs and get back in the game”, said Will Pharis.
Pharis drove in two runs in the 8th inning to put the Huskies on top and to extend their historical season.
Game three will be played tomorrow at 1:30p.m. at Phil English Field.
