(WIAT) — When you prepare mail on Saturday, why not include a canned food item in the mailbox?
On Saturday, mail carriers will be collecting canned goods as a part of the Stamp Out Hunger campaign.
The directions are simple: just place the food item in your mailbox before Saturday’s mail run, and the carrier will do the rest.
The food will go to local food banks and pantries.
Over the last 20 years, the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive campaign has collected over 1 billion pounds of food.
