(WIAT) — Many people dream of writing a book, but usually they never get around to doing it.
That’s not the case for a fourth grade class in Hoover.
Students in Mrs. Dunbar’s class at Deer Valley Elementary have written and published a book called, “Silver, Gold and Amber.”
It is about an athletic fourth grade girl who overcomes obstacles after losing a leg to cancer.
From researching to writing and editing, the students spent the entire school year working on the book.
Their teacher says the project has been an inspiration for her class, as well as those who read the book.
