(WIAT) — One Jefferson County teacher plans to make some improvements in his classroom, and it’s all possible thanks to CBS42’s One Class At A Time grant program.

On Tuesday afternoon, Craig Cagle, a band director at North Jefferson Middle School, was presented with the $1,000 check as a part of the grant program.

Cagle says he will use the grant money to buy a new instrument for his other students at Mortimer Jordan High School, since they one they are currently using is from the 1960s.

CBS42 will have more of Cagle’s story Thursday on CBS42 News at 6.

Cosponsors for the One Class At A Time grant program are Pepsi and America’s First Federal Credit Union.
