New Star Trek movie premiering at McWane Center

(WIAT) — People of all walks of life are floating around the McWane Science Center on Wednesday evening.

They are attending a premiere party for the new “Star Trek Into Darkness” movie.

It is showing at the Center’s IMAX Theater.

That is where you can catch the crew of the Starship Enterprise on a giant screen.

On Wednesday evening, though, fans can also meet their favorite Star Trek characters, courtesy of Kingdom Comics and the Alabama Phoenix Festival.

The film was directed by J.J. Abrams and debuts in theaters all across the nation on Wednesday night.
