(WIAT) –On Thursday, Jefferson County commissioners signed off on an agreement with three of their creditors.
“I think it is integral in [the county’s] plan that we show a significant number of creditors that have signed plan support agreements,” Jefferson County Commission President David Carrington said on Thursday.
Jefferson County hopes to have a few more creditor agreements in place by the end of June.
They will then go to the bankruptcy attorney in hopes of him ordering others to sign off on the deal.
