Mexican citizen arrested in Homewood on drug charges

Homewood patrol officers made the initial discover during a traffic stop on Tuesday, May 14th but the dogs found the bulk of the drugs concealed in a hidden compartment in the car.

The suspect is 19 year old Mexican national, Juan Canedo. He’s being held on no bond on charges of trafficking, carrying a pistol without a permit, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
