(WIAT) — The attorney for the teen arrested in the Railroad Park murder says he knows police rush to judgment – especially cases with a high profile.
Police arrested 17-year-old Justin Jones six weeks after the murder in Railroad Park.
He’s charged with wreckless murder.
CBS42’s Sherri Jackson sat down with Charles Salvaggio to talk about the case that had everyone talking about safety in Railroad Park.
Salvaggio says there are a ton of cameras at Railroad Park, and he is hoping that will be to his client’s benefit.
Just 12 years ago, Salvaggio partnered with Thomas Messereau in another high profile murder on Birmingham’s south side.
Their client was acquitted.
Messereau is the famed attorney who represented the late pop star Michael Jackson in the child abuse case which he, too, was acquitted.
