Samford closes regular season with a loss

Birmingham, AL (WIAT)-The Samford baseball team fell to Davidson 12-1 on Friday night.

The game was called in the 7th inning due to rain.

Christiaan Durdaller went 2-for-3 to lead Samford at the plate.

Caleb Bryson drove in Samford’s only run.

On the mound, Alex Milazzo pitched 2.1 innings, giving up three runs, two earned, on three hits.

With this loss, the Bulldogs fall to 27-28 overall and 12-17 in the Southern Conference and will now look towards the postseason.

Samford earned a No. 8 seed in the SoCon Tournament and will play top-seeded Western Carolina on Wednesday.
