(WIAT) — Living a healthy lifestyle is a goal that everyone tries to achieve, and one group of students were recognized on Friday for just that.
Robinson Elementary School fifth-graders were awarded for their work in the Health Eating, Active Living (HEAL) program.
HEAL coordinates with physical education classes to encourage healthier eating and lifestyle habits.
HEAL CEO Christ Swaid says the grand winner, Darriana Mahan, has taken the program’s mission to heart.
She adds that students like Mahan are inspiring examples for healthy living.
