(WIAT) — Employees at Belk will be working hard outside of their workplace for the next 125 days.
About 100 Belk store associates put their skills to work at South Hampton Elementary School on Monday afternoon.
The associates contributed to a school makeover.
They helped students paint colorful murals and picnic tables.
They will also plant trees and flowers.
More than 9,000 Belk employees nationwide will volunteer for 125 days to celebrate the company’s 125th anniversary.
