Four-year-old shot in Brighton on Sunday, in stable condition at hospital

(WIAT) – A four-year-old child was shot in Brighton on Sunday afternoon.

According to the Bessemer Police Department, the shooting took place in the 3600 Block of Jaybird Road in Brighton.

Around 3 p.m. on Sunday, shots were fired into an occupied vehicle and hit a four-year-old child.

The child was taken to a Birmingham-area hospital and is in stable condition.
