(WIAT) — The summer travel season has arrived, and that means road trips and family vacations are just around the bend.
While gas prices increased about .11 in the past two weeks, it is still not a bad time to hit the road.
According to fuel experts, the average price of gas in the Birmingham area is about $3.25.
That price is nearly the same as it was in 2012.
The national average is currently around $3.66 per gallon.
