(WIAT) – Regions Field has only been open for a little while, but the new baseball stadium is drawing a ton of interest.

Since its grand opening in April, the 2013 season has become the Barons’ second-fastest season to reach 100,000 attendance mark.

Field organizers admit that accommodating such large crowds has been very hectic at times, but they are grateful for continued support from the community.

The record only trails the 1994 Barons attendance mark – the season when NBA Hall of Famer Michael Jordan joined the team.
