(WIAT) – Cordova students sent a message of faith and hope to children in Moore, Oklahoma Wednesday.
They wanted to reach out since they know first hand what the young people there are going through.
Third and fourth graders at Cordova Elementary wrote messages on brightly colored t-shirts that will be sent to Moore, Oklahoma Monday.
Students say they hope the wear-able words of encouragement help during this tough time.
About a hundred shirts will be sent along with cards. The principal says a back to school supply drive for Moore is planned at
Cordova in August.
