PELHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — The former Moore-Handley Building in Pelham has a bright new future.

Summer Classics Furniture will buy 17 acres of business frontage along Highway 31.

Pelham will loan Summer Classics just over $3.2 million for the purchase, with the Shelby County Industrial Development Authority providing part of the funding.

The property has been vacant for several months.

Pelham hopes the addition of the business will help lure other business opportunities to the area.
