(WIAT) — The City of Birmingham is making it easy for people to contribute to the storm relief effort in Moore, Oklahoma.
Those who wish to contribute can drive right up and drop off donations at Boutwell Auditorium.
The city isn’t taking money, but they are asking for canned goods and especially personal use items.
Those considering what to donate should remember the need for diapers – both for infants and adults. Either would be very helpful at this time.
Staff members with the donation drive say even if you do not have the time or money to make a special trip to the store, you can still help.
They point out that many people have extra unused toothbrushes and other personal use items in their home, and since every donation counts, they urge people to dig around and find what they can to donate.
