Houston, TX-The UAB baseball team rallied late in their matchup against Memphis but it wasn’t enough as they fell 6-5 in the Conference USA Tournament.

After stranding a season-high 16 baserunners, the Blazers have been mathematically eliminated from earning a C-USA Title.

The Blazers scored their first run on a RBI single by Ryan Prinzing in the fourth.

Down 6-1, John Frost andn Prinzing each brought home runs in the seventh.

The Blazers made things interesting again in the ninth, getting the potential tying run into scoring position with two outs.

Unfortunately, Memphis closer Jonathan Van Eaton earned his 13th save of the season.

Now UAB will conclude their season against fifth seed UCF on Friday at 7 p.m.
