(WIAT) – With the temperatures rising, people are constantly looking for new ways to cool off.

Some kids enjoyed a cool treat on Tuesday – a free ice skating party at the Pelham Civic Complex and Ice Arena.

The party was a way to raise awareness about books, functioning as a kickoff event for Pelham Public Library’s Children’s Summer Reading Program.

The program runs through July.
