TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WIAT) — Nearly 30 homes and other structures in the Holt are finally being demolished, two years after they were damaged by the April 27 storms.
Neighbors who managed to build back in the unincorporated area are now cheering the sounds of bulldozers that are taking out the eyesores and safety hazards.
However, many have been asking since the tornado: why has it taken so long?
CBS42’s Leigh Garner will explore those questions, and how this community can finally move towards healing and recovery now that they aren’t surrounded by the debris and memories from April 27th, 2011 on CBS42 News at 6.
