Inaugural NCAA youth football camp to be held this summer

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Young football players will have a chance to learn from some of the region’s best high school and college coaches this summer.

Perhaps the most appealing aspect of the camp, though, is that it’s free.

The inaugural NCAA Football Youth Clinic is set for June 15 at Municipal Park in Mobile.

The camp is being hosted by the GoDaddy Bowl.

Those who wish to participate can register by clicking on this link.

For more information, call (251) 635-0011.

Another camp will be held in June at Carver High School, hosted by Marcel Dareus of the Buffalo Bills and Jerrell Harris of the Oakland Raiders.

More than 15 NFL players will participate in the camp that is set to be held on June 1, 2013.

Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the camp begins at 8:30 a.m.

Parents will need to sign a waiver for their children to participate.
