(WIAT) – Another storm damaged part of Tuscaloosa is going through a major change – from a neighborhood to a shopping center.
City officials are now looking at a multi-tenant retail project where the Cedar Crest neighborhood once stood.
Some small and larger anchor stores new to the Tuscaloosa area are already in talks to move in.
The development has been tabled to go before the Zoning Board of Adjustment in June.
