(WIAT) — Birmingham officials finally got to see the fruits of their labor unveiled on Wednesday.
Fire Station #14 was opened to the public.
The project to build the station cost nearly $2 million.
The station replaces an aging unit located just one block away.
It will also serve as a model for future fire station construction projects, and it even includes a storm shelter.
