(WIAT) – The sale of Jefferson County’s nursing home becomes official Saturday.
The sale will generate about $11 million for the cash-strapped county. Part of the money will be used to buy new computer equipment to help ease congestion at tag renewal lines.
As for the patients, all 26 will remain under the new ownership, North Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation.
“It is a more modern facility because work is underway to modernize the rooms,“ Jefferson County Manager Tony Petelos said.
